This standard, small split-level kitchen was dramatically transformed into an open, beautiful design by removing the lowered ceiling and the hallway and living room walls. The cabinetry and special pulls capture the hint of an Oriental motif desired by the client. The contrasting color scheme makes the room warm and appealing. The kitchen is now large enough for two cooks and offers a maximum of storage and efficiency.

Special design features: Raised under-counter chef’s pantry flows into the eating bar and wine storage; corner raised glass base unit for dish display and storage; raised top areas of Uba Tuba granite tiles contrast beautifully with the sea grass color solid surface material on the additional tops; new bay window allows more light to penetrate the room.

Products used: Wood-Mode Brookhaven maple cabinetry, Colony door style; KitchenAid appliances; Franke under-mount stainless steel sink; Grohe faucet; Top Knobs pulls; custom white oak flooring.
